Griff was born in Detroit, Michigan and was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is presently a resident of Huber Heights where he lives with his wife and daughter.
After graduating from Kent State University in 1995, he attended the University Of Dayton School Of Law and graduated in 1998. He was sworn in to the Supreme Court of Ohio and admitted to practice in federal court in 2000. Griff started practicing with a group of more experienced attorneys shortly after passing the bar. He then opened his solo practice in 2002 which included an office in Huber Heights from 2010 – 2012. From 2012-2014, Griff was a partner at Finlay, Johnson & Beard. In 2014, an amazing opportunity arose to start this firm with Marcy and Tyler.
In 2002, Griff received an award at Law Day for Special Recognition from Montgomery County Court Appointed Counsel Programs. In 2010, he was certified as a mediator through a program offered at the University of Akron. In 2011, he was certified as a Guardian ad Item. Griff is a member of the Greene County and Dayton Bar Associations.
Although a majority of his practice is now in domestic relations work, Griff relishes the opportunity to present cases to a jury. During his time practicing law, he has presented over 50 cases to a jury from simple drug cases to murders.

She was initially admitted to practice law in 1999 in Maryland. Her first job out of law school was as a federal judicial clerk to the Honorable Wendell . Gardner, Jr. (Superior Court of the District of Columbia). In 2003, Marcy moved back home to Ohio, where she became an associate at Stocklein, Koverman, and Smith. In 2006, she began working as a staff attorney for the Honorable John Kessler (Montgomery County, Ohio Court of Common Pleas). In 2009, she left the government for private practice, focusing on family, juvenile and criminal law. She also has experience in business law, civil litigation, estate planning and probate law. In January 2012, Marcy joined Finlay, Johnson & Beard.
In the summer of 2014, the decision was made to start this firm.
Marcy also has an active practice in Columbus and Franklin County. She practices in the Juvenile Court, Common Pleas Court, Family Relations Court and Probate Court.
Outside of the office, Marcy spends her time with her husband, raising their blended family of four children, volunteering as an assistant softball coach for her children’s teams, working with 4-H, and trying to live a healthy lifestyle without stepping into the gym. She has had a lot of success and enjoyment with everything but skipping the gym.
